Where to stay in Jaipur

The Walled City (Pink City) puts you beside Hawa Mahal, the City Palace and the bazaars, with atmospheric heritage havelis but tighter lanes and limited parking. MI Road and Bani Park are central, mostly mid-range and close to the railway station. Civil Lines is the quiet, upscale pocket, and the area around Amer, near the fort, has boutique stays with fort views.

Peak season is October to March, when the weather is pleasant, with a further spike during the Jaipur Literature Festival in late January. Rates fall sharply from April to July, when temperatures are extreme, and stay low through the monsoon. Heritage havelis book out first for winter weekends, so reserve those early.
