Where to stay in Mussoorie

Mussoorie's Mall Road runs between Library (Gandhi Chowk) and Picture Palace; the Library end is quieter and generally better value, the Picture Palace end busier. Camel's Back Road has mid-range hotels with valley views, Landour — an uphill colonial cantonment with well-known cafes — has boutique stays, and Barlowganj and Jharipani have secluded resorts below the town.

Peak season is April to June and the Christmas–New Year week, with long weekends close behind. The monsoon and February are the cheapest times, and weekdays are consistently cheaper than weekends year-round. Landour stays are limited and book out early. As in most hill towns, check how far the hotel is from a motorable point.
